Career day at school! I have only positive memories of career day when I was in elementary school. As an adult, I now can better appreciate the grown-ups that took time from their busy work days to come by and tell us about their job. I am blessed to have been invited to come by and speak with this kindergarten class. Thankfully, I was able to do that and make it happen. Privte practice is hard work but has big upsides like flexibility in my schedule and increased involvement in my community. On career day, my goal was not for the kids to want to become doctors or a pediatrician, but to see someone who looks like them achieve their personal goals. I hope I made a good impression on these students and I hope they feel that they can follow their dreams.
